As many are well aware, Applebee’s Bar and Grill has been hitting the Bar part of their restaurant heavily the past year and a half with month long dollar drink specials. For the month of September Applebee’s has announced their dollar drink for the month is ADIOS, or as many folks on campus call them, AMF’s. I guess Applebee’s is saying “Adios” to summer in this beautiful autumn month of September. This ADIOS drink is served in a 10-ounce mug, made with the delicious fusion of vodka, rum, tequila and gin; topped off with tangy flavors of blue curacao, sweet & sour and Sierra Mist. This colorful twist to the traditional Long Island Iced tea is one you do not want to miss out on this month.
From my experience, Applebee’s has really stepped up their game since my childhood. I have always remembered going to Applebee’s with my folks and it seemed meh almost every time. Since then, Applebee’s started remodeling their restaurants, spicing up the menu, and adding month drink deals. Not only are their drink deals actually good deals, but they are almost always Instagram worthy in presentation.
It is pretty nice to have an establishment down Bishop that you can have a nice cheap drink that gets the job done, a rather tasty meal and be able to hear the person across the table at the same time. Applebee’s has some pretty killer deals when it comes to their food. If you order from the 2 for $20 menu, it’s roughly only $10 bucks a person. However if you’re dining solo, or just rather hungry, Applebee’s also offers a $11.99 3-Course Meal menu, which is a pretty impressive deal.
Applebee’s would be a good place to take someone on a date in my opinion. Good food, good drinks, clean bathroom, reasonable wait time, and you wouldn’t have to yell across the table at each other. If you’re dying to try this vibrant twist on a traditional Long Island Iced tea and do not want to wait 40 minutes for your AMF, give Applebee’s a shot this month. Also, if you have never given them a shot, go for the Wonton Chicken tacos on the appetizer menu, you won’t be disappointed.
